Washington Township's Planning Commission consists of 7 members who are appointed by the Board of Supervisors. Land owners who want to subdivide or develop their land appear in front of the Planning Commission to present their plans.

The Planning Commission reviews those plans and makes recommendations to the Board of Supervisors based on the rules set forth in the Township's Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance.

They meet the last Monday of the month at 7:00 pm on an as needed basis with the exception of holidays. Applications for subdivision or land development are due at least 21 days prior to the meeting and require an electronic submission and 10 paper copies. See fee schedule for costs.
